For the past few weeks, lots of my friends had seen the new Twitter interface which displays both the Search and Trends on the home page, and I was feeling jealous that I hadn’t seen it yet.
But today when I logged in to Twitter, I was overjoyed to see that Twitter has finally considered me as one of their elite users because I could see the search box and the trends on my right side bar, only to learn later that it has now officially been rolled out to everybody.
Well, the major changes are :
1. You can search on your homepage itself now instead of heading over to search.twitter.com
2. All the searches happen in the same page itself without any reloads, (Because of AJAX)
3. You can now save searches and access it later from the right sidebar
4. You can keep track of the trending topics on the right collapsible sidebar
5. All the DM’s now have a new home at http://twitter.com/inbox
6. All the Replies, DM’s and your timeline are loaded via Ajax now, instead of a page reload.
I simply loved this new features, which makes Twitter even more powerful.
