Microsoft is about to issue 11 security updates next week to fix various bugs in Windows, Active Directory, Internet Explorer, Microsoft Office and Host Integration Server.
4 of the 11 updates has been labeled “Critical” Updates, with 6 being labelled “Important” and the remaining single update labeled as “moderate update“.
7 of the 11 updates will address the vulnerable issues that can be used to execute remote code, which means hackers could exploit those vulnerabilities to add their own malicious code into PCs, by fooling the users to open a file attachment or tricking them to visit a rogue Web site. The other 4 updates, including all six marked important, will address different bugs in various Windows versions.
Microsoft also announced that they are going to drop the support for Office 2003 SP2 Version shortly and will support only SP3 version from now on.
Microsoft has scheduled the release of 11 security updates at approximately 1 p.m. EDT on Oct. 14.
