Google G1 to hit India in December
Excited about the new Google phone? Here is some more good news. HTC is supposedly planning to launch the Android powered Google G1 by December end in India. Although the prices have not yet been announced it is rumored to be around 20,000 rupees. The company is now supposedly in talks with various service providers in India to distribute the phone.
The G1 phone is touted to be the iPhone Killer was launched in US a week ago under T-Mobile at the price of $179, $20 lesser than the iPhone ($199).
It boasts of touchscreen and a computer-like keyboard unlike the iPhone and also has Google’s operating system, Android. The phone also has a trackball for navigation, high-speed Internet browsing, Wi-Fi, email, inbuilt GPS, instant messaging etc. It also boasts of a 3 megapixel camera with photo-sharing capability and a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, a major feature which was lacking on the iPhone.
Hoping that HTC learns from the mistake of iPhone and release the phone at a reasonable cost.
