Google India has started a new product called Google SMS Channels that lets you to subscribe to news alerts, jokes, stocks etc via SMS messages. You can create a channel based on your site’s RSS Feed and open it for subscribers.

2 Years ago, when Google Trends was introduced, it was proposed to be a tool that tracks the most searched for keywords. It became so popular that they added a new tool a year ago called “Hot Trends†which shows the top searched keys on google right now. Now they have introduced a new tool that gives you a view of how popular that particular website is.

Google is planning to pull the plug on Google Pages and concentrate more on Google Sites. So they have stopped accepting new registrations. Existing users however can still use till Google pulls the plug on it. They will be migrated to Google Sites by Google itself.

Google Inc.'s YouTube, the most popular video-sharing Web site, will show daily coverage of the Olympic Games in India and 76 other countries where the broadcasters (i.e. NBC) haven't bought exclusive rights to the programming. However this service will be blocked outside the 77 territories.
