Google release yet another update for Chrome

October 16th, 2008 | Comments | Posted in Browsers

Google released a developer-oriented update (version 0.3.154.3) to its Chrome Web browser on Wednesday that fixes some crashes and video playback issues. For the full list of changes check the release notes here.

With this, browser wars is now definitely on the cards, with the first beta version of Firefox 3.1, released this Tuesday, bringing significant improvements to JavaScript via Trace Monkey, Internet Explorer 8 by Microsoft on the verge of its release and Apple’s Safari browser is being fitted with a new JavaScript engine called Squirrelfish Extreme.

According to me, Chrome needs a lot of homework to do before it can pose a serious threat to IE or Firefox. IE8 looks very promising. But me being a Firefox addict I will surely be waiting for FF 3.1.

Who do you think will win? IE, Firefox, Safari or Chrome?
