Google Internet Bus enters Karnataka
Google India’s continuing efforts to increase awareness of the benefits of Internet in India has now reached Karnataka. Google India in a blogpost have mentioned that they have recently kicked off the Internet Bus Program in Karnataka, after its successful completion in Tamil Nadu. The bus will travel through 15 towns in Karnataka, the next 50 days.
Inside the bus, Google India has provided hands on learning for the people along with interactive “learning booths” and showing custom videos. Google also has setup “explore booths” to let visitors try out what they have just learned. The Internet Bus project in Karnataka will mainly focus on four themes namely Information, Communication, Entertainment and Education. The content will also provide familiarization on using services like search, email, social networking, online maps and mobile for the people. The Content will be provided in both the languages viz English and Kannada.
