Blackberry Bold - A Review

Blackberry Bold is the newest addition to the Blackberry Family and is possibly the best phone that has come out of Blackberry people. It is smart, elegant, sleek along with all the features that a smartphone provides.

Design: The design is sleek, with a shiny 480×320 TFT LCD screen and QWERTY Keyboard. Weighing at about just 133g, it is termed as a dream phone for any blackberry addicts. If you flip the phone, you will also notice that the back is no more a plastic but is a leatherette texture. Therefore no fear of scratches now :)

Bold Back

Features:  BlackBerry Bold is the first smartphone in the Blackberry Family to support tri-band HSDPA high-speed networks around the world. It integrates 802.11 a/b/g Wi-Fi and GPS, which can be used to pinpoint the user’s location and it also supports location-based applications and services. It also supports email integration of upto 10 Accounts.

Memory: The RIM BlackBerry Bold is equipped with a 624MHz Intel PXA270 processor unlike its predecessors’ 312MHZ processor. There’s also a 128MB of flash memory and 1GB internal memory, which can be further extended by microSD/SDHC card (It supports up to 16GB cards).

Bold Headon

Multimedia: It comes with a 2MP Camera with Flash and upto 4x digital zoom. It supports video recording as well. Roxio Media Manager is incorporated to make managing of the music, pictures and video easy for BlackBerry. For iTunes users, the new BlackBerry Media Sync application can be used to sync iTunes digital music collections with the smartphone. The media player supports numerous audio and video formats viz MP3, WMA, AAC, DivX4, and WMV3 files etc. The phone is equipped with a 3.5mm headphone jack as well.

Internet and Connectivity: It has an improved and high performance browser. The navigation is made easier through a Trackball. So you can watch pages in different views to suit your preferences. It also supports Wi-Fi, EDGE, Bluetooth, A2DP and also 3G. It  has an inbuilt GPS System as well.

And without a say it has all the features of the previous Blackberry’s and the handset is also preloaded with Dataviz’s Documents to Go suite, for document viewing and editing.
